The short answer

One of BC's best family playgrounds

The Fraser Valley around Bridal Falls is made for kids — a waterfall you can walk before breakfast, a waterpark minutes up the road, swimming lakes, and hot springs, all within a short drive. Base yourself at Camp Bridal, where an outdoor pool, a playground and a tree house fill the hours between adventures, and you've got a family trip that runs itself.

Right next door (under 10 minutes)

Bridal Veil Falls

A short, shady walk to a 60-metre veil of water over the rock — easy enough for little legs and a guaranteed photo. It's about 3 minutes from the front gate, so it's a perfect first-morning or wind-down outing.

Bridal Falls Waterpark

Slides and splash zones just up the road, roughly 3 minutes away — the kind of afternoon that earns an early bedtime.

Mini-golf & family stops

A cluster of family attractions and mini-golf sit minutes from camp, handy for filling an hour without a long drive.

Lakes & beaches (about 30 minutes)

When the day heats up, the valley's lakes are an easy drive:

  • Cultus Lake — a beach, swimming, paddling and a waterpark, roughly 30 minutes away
  • Chilliwack Lake — quieter swimming and shoreline for a slower beach day

Harrison Hot Springs (about 25 minutes)

A lakefront village with a sandy beach, paddleboats, hot pools and ice-cream weather — a classic Fraser Valley day out, and a favourite with families staying at camp.

Slower mornings & active days

  • Berry picking in season at the valley's farms — sweet, simple and very kid-friendly
  • Cheam wetlands boardwalks (about 15 min) for birds, frogs and an easy nature loop
  • Trails and hikes of every length right around Mt. Cheam

Back at camp

Half the fun never leaves the grounds. Camp Bridal has an outdoor pool with a mountain where a fence should be, a playground and climbing wall, a tree house for self-appointed lookouts, a basketball court, and a fire-pit gazebo for marshmallows after dark. Dogs are welcome on leash, so the whole family comes along.

Where to stay with the family

Pull in with the RV and plug into full hookups, pitch a tent at the top of the campground, or book a suite in the rustic lodge for groups and reunions who'd rather have a full kitchen and a roof. Whatever you choose, the pool, the playground and the falls come with it.
